Goodbye Joomla! Hello WordPress!

All that we dedicated to Marketing Online and Dise±o Web, we know these two platforms perfectly and surely we worked in some of them.

For the profane ones, to say that they are CMS, (Content Management System), systems of generation of contents for the Web.

In CopTechDigital we took more of a year working of quiet form in the conversion of Joomla to WordPress, and at the moment 80% of our clients already count on their webpage totally migrated.

It gives pain us by Joomla.

It was a reconciled good marriage. Llevabamos almost one decade working with this CMS and went to us well. As we considered more designers than programmers, it gave the life us not to have to subcontract to a computer science one (that it received what wanted to you) to mount a blog or a form to you more or less currado. All this you Joomla with a tremendous facility did, and so our budgets could also be more competitive, offering to the client more by less.

While, we looked with the tip of the eye at WordPress. We had some another romantic fling with WP, but always it failed because it did not give as much robustness us as Joomla, and because still it did not count on an extensive catalogue of functionalities (plugins) that Joomla yes had.

But then, everything began to change€¦

Some ago years, the conversion of ours loved Joomla 1,5 2,0 was dramatic, very hard€¦

It really did damage to us this deep update, since there was a tremendous commotion with the compatibility of plugins, out of date components, and, mainly, the problems that gave Virtuemart us, the component par excellence of Joomla to manage solutions of electronic commerce.

Again we gave a return by the office of Matt Mullenweg to see how they walked with his WordPress (the truth is that always the graphical aspect of WP has been fun us, the cleaned up thing of its interface€¦)

And what we saw of WordPress it enchanted to us:

It as always continued being so beautiful, but it had incorporated and improved plugins that much more gave reach him that the one of simple plaltaforma of blog.

Now you could create a cart with all functionalities of a simple form yet and the potential (thanks to Woocommerce). You had gratuitous subjects totally responsive, (but really, not what they sold in Joomla) and, by all means, the updates of WordPress were clean, transparent and nothing traumatic - as yes it happened to Joomla-

Conclusion:

In CopTechDigital always we tried to offer the best thing for our clients, and in this case, our dear Joomla has taken very badly the passage of time (we continued working some things with Jom, but we see that it has remained anchored) whereas WordPress more and more is rejuvenated, enjoys an incredible health and its ascent is unstoppable.

In addition, the simplicity of use facing the end user (who is the one who pays for being able to control his Web to the 100%) is amazing in WordPress
