PINE Pinnacle Award 2008 (4 Pinnacle Awards, 2 Awards of Recognition)

Woburn, MA November 6, 2008 -- The Printing Industries of New England (PINE) have announced that Coptech Digital is an award winner in the association's New England Regional Awards of Excellence Competition. The announcement was made November 6 during PINE's 2008 Industry Awards Gala held at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel in Framingham, Mass. with hundreds of industry professionals in attendance. PINE's Awards of Excellence Competition attracted 325 entries from 47 printing and imaging companies in New England.

Coptech Digital, which is known for CD / DVD duplication, USB duplication, digital offset printing, color matching, variable data printing and mailings, won four Pinnacle Awards (Best of Category) and two Awards of Recognition. A panel of three out-of-state judges with extensive experience in printing and print production was brought in to examine the work. This includes Tim Burton, Burton & Mayer, Menomonee Falls, Wis.; Paul Schmitz, Schmitz Press, Sparks, Md.; and Dave Watterson, PIA/GATF, Sewickley, Pa. Each entry was judged anonymously on its own merit in a category with similar printed pieces. The judging criteria included: registration, clarity and neatness, sharpness of halftones and line drawings, richness and tonal qualities of color, paper and ink selection, ink coverage, difficulty of printing, effective contrast or softness, overall visual impact and bindery.

The Printing Industries of New England (PINE) is the largest trade association to serve printing and graphic communications companies throughout New England. PINE serves more than 430 member companies through a wide range of products and services that enhance member profitability. The Association is affiliated with the world's largest graphic arts trade association, Printing Industries of America / Graphic Arts Technical foundation.

SGIA Golden Image Award

When the best screen printers in the world competed in the Screen-printing & Graphic Imaging Association International's Golden Image Award, Coptech Digital, Inc., Woburn, Massachusetts stood out, leaving with a Gold Award of Excellence for Compact Discs, True Process Color and two Awards of Merit for Compact Discs, Single Multicolor from www.coptechdigital.com.

More than 154 companies from around the world entered the competition, submitting a total 2,393 prints to 44 categories. The event combined entries from many companies into the largest Golden Image awards competition yet. There was no doubt that quality in product has increased throughout the years of competition. The competition is held annually and varies in the number of entries.

The Printing Industries of New England has announced that Coptech Digital of Woburn, Massachusetts is an award winner in the association's New England Regional Awards of Excellence Competition. The announcement was made November 1, 2007 during PINE's 2007 Industry Awards Gala held at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel in Framingham, MA with hundreds of industry professionals in attendance. PINE's inaugural Awards of Excellence Competition attracted 340 entries from 56 printing and imaging companies in New England.

Coptech Digital, Inc. won a Pinnacle Award (Best of Category) and an Award of Recognition. Panels of three out-of-state judges with extensive experience in printing and print production were brought in to examine the work. Each entry was judged on its own merit in a category with similar printed pieces.
